Внешнеполитические документы после июля 1589 года в опись не заносились, и по этой причине обо всем, что происходило до декабря 1596 года, мы имеем обрывочное представление. С этого момента в напечатанном виде нет бумаг до 1603 года, а значит, необходимые документы приходилось искать методом проб и ошибок.
